No jet lag here

We're strangely awake in this time zone. Apart from being awake for an hour at 3am two mornings running we've had no problems at all. Odd. Perhaps all the switching times beforehand helped - see, I'm not so mad after all!

The warm weather continues apace - Uncle Wilf's sunroof now is tinged with red! My freckles are multiplying. And yes, we're being careful and smothering ourselves with suncream. Which is amazingly cheap out here - wish I'd waited. Warning - the rest of this is picture heavy! Click all for bigness.

Irene is back from Mallorca - so we've spent plenty of time with her over the last couple of days. She took us for a long walk along a white beach.

Then after a long and lazy lunch we all went to Yanchep Park - it's a national reserve and is full of wild animals roaming around. Chance for us to spot Skippy and friends. Don't think I'd ever seen a koala in the flesh before - and they were really hard to spot as they lounged around in the trees not moving a muscle.

There were kangaroos hopping around everywhere and we came across this group of ladies grazing and chatting.

Kanga and Roo posed happily for a photo.

Where were all the men? On the golf course!

Yesterday I walked over 17,500 steps - that's an Aunty Mabel record!

Today we've been to Hillary's Boatyard, which is a marina with plenty of shops, eating places and an aquarium - again a lovely warm day, just ripe for wandering round and people watching. We didn't get to the aquarium, we spent too long in the eating places chatting. (I know you'll be surprised about that!)

Fortunately though we shifted ourselves in time to get home for the most beautiful sunset. You'll have to wait until tomorrow for the pics of that though - they're on a different camera, it's 1.30am and I've had a mare getting these pics to upload. Bah humbug!

And Gladys (you know who you are!), look what I bought - the Australian versions! And I'll still be here for the December issues. Now we'll have summer and winter recipes for Christmas!

Not sure what we'll be doing over the weekend - but the weather's set fair, and we've put the solar blanket on the pool. Sounds good to me! Back again soon.

Glad to see you have arrived safe and sound. So when do we get to see a picture of your lovely locks in this sunny weather then???
